This German course is for doctors who wish to continue their professional career in Germany and need to be proficient in medical terminology as a prerequisite. A good command of the German language is crucial to ensure successful communication with patients and colleagues.

As part of the German course for medical professionals, you will be prepared for typical situations using many practical examples, exercises, role plays and materials. These include taking a medical history, delivering difficult messages and presenting and discussing case studies. This German course for medical professions ensures that you are optimally prepared for everyday working life in a clinic or practice in a German-speaking country.

The German course for doctors focuses in particular on developing your conversational skills. You will learn to adapt your language level flexibly to the different communication partners with whom you interact in everyday medical life - be it patients, nursing staff or specialist colleagues. This approach will help you to communicate professionally and clearly in stressful situations as well as in routine conversations.

The German course for medical professionals is offered as an intensive course and is aimed at participants who have passed the B2 exam with at least a ‘good’ grade. If your exam result is lower than ‘good’, participation in this course is only possible after successful completion of the C1.1 language course.

The specialised medical language course consists of two consecutive modules - the C1.1 medicine course and the C1.2 medicine course - and lasts eight weeks. During this time, you will be intensively prepared for the language requirements in a medical environment and gain the confidence you need for your career in Germany.
